Our History
K and N Furnishers was established in the early 1980’s by Naseeruddin Chand in Lobatse, Botswana, who saw the need for a local independent retail store that could furnish local homes with quality furniture products at good prices.
Since the company’s inception in the early 1980’s, a decision was made to only import quality household furniture from South Africa from brands such as Sealy Posturpedic and Grafton Everest.
The business grew over the years and established a customer base as far as Maun in the northern part of the country. In 1996, a decision was made to increase the size of the business and a shop was opened up in Gaborone under the trading name of Furniture Paradise.
This store comprised of 2500 square metres of space to expand the business. Due to the increased floor space, the directors took a decision to look overseas for more products and since 1998.the company began importing top quality furniture from China, Malaysia and Singapore. Through numerous advertising campaigns, the company customer base has steadily increased and the business has moved from strength to strength.
